Developing new, hard tech always comes with delays at the beginning. This is because the tech is largely misunderstood and it’s impossible to predict what challenges will come up. When developing relatively new tech like DeSo is doing, it’s common to starting planning out milestones only to realize that the originally designed path to reach those goals are not possible. Thankfully, these delays go away over time as the technology becomes more well understood and makes it easier to plan out. More👇

This is different from a lot of SAAS companies where you know the software is going to work and it’s easy to predict how long things will take because you know the challenges beforehand.

Look at any hard technology company like Apple, Microsoft, Moderna, Tesla, etc and you will see that the beginnings of those companies were filled with delays and postponements. Compare this to companies where the underlying tech was already developed (Netflix, eBay, PayPal, etc) and you will see that only these types of companies are able to ship things out on time in the early stages

It’s important to keep in mind that delays from @nader, @AlexValaitis, and the @deso team are largely not the result of disorganization or lack of talent, but rather is natural when innovating hard new tech. They have come up with brand new technological concepts like smart services that are still poorly understood from a technical perspective. As these folks better understand the new tech, they will start shipping things much more efficiently, smoothly, and without delays.
