All I know is, there are a handful of solidity and rust devs, yet the smart contract ecosystem is exploited almost daily. Unleashing JavaScript will essentially unleash every hacker in the world. And there is only so much you can do to protect against it except by constantly and manually auditing the code and dependencies. Multitarget form jacking via JavaScript for instance, usually involves hijacking a dependant file/library and modifying it.

I have to say, I kind of like for certain kinds of tech, especially that which involves financial transactions to have a barrier to entry with the requirement that people have a certain skillset and intelligence level. I don't really want to give the keys to everyone. I realize those are also the same people who can exploit a system but smart contracts kind of mitigate that issue. Also, you have said things here in a way that I cannot so thanks for that.
