How BitClout Identity Works: Part 1 Identity gives you the ability to easily sign BitClout transactions. What does this mean? On a blockchain, every interaction is a "transaction" that incurs a fee when being added to a block. Following an account and commenting on a post are transactions, just as buying a Creator Coin is. Transactions must be "signed" with your private key before being submitted to the blockchain. Signing proves that you own the public key, created the transaction, and authorized paying the fee.
