Doing so increases the chances of someone building a "killer app," an app so popular that it ensures the success of web3. 💎 DeSo views smart contracts as a barrier to entry for web2 devs. Web3 languages aren't that hard to learn, but require a different mental model rife with gotchas. Smart services allow devs to use web2 programming to achieve smart contract functionality. 💎 DeSo expects most web3 computation will be off-chain and centralized via smart services, while assets and content will remain on-chain and decentralized via smart contracts. 💎 Smart services are a centralized service with a web2 domain name, API, and at least one web3 wallet address. They're not bound to one blockchain: they can return multiple addresses each corresponding to a different blockchain. 💎 Smart services receive funds and then perform a set of actions.
