How does a normal business work? We sell goods (we provide services), we pocket the profits. How does a big business work? We sell goods, make a fuss, the stock price goes up, we (the stock owners) get rich. If we need cash, we sell a piece of the stock. What is the beauty of the second approach? The stock price can grow as high as it wants, it is only proportional to the quality, size, and regularity of the hype we make. It is not even necessary to have a profit in the business itself.
