Struggling with too many things at the moment.
I've come to appreciate more and more how much the production of music is more than just the notes or having a melody. It's all the clipping and gating and reverbs and stuff that's all syncopated to the tempo. All the percussion. I can do the melodies and swells, but I'm still learning all the production end, and after spending 20 minutes trying to get Avid to run when Maschine is connected (device block size error) and it instantly firing up on Studio On 5.. Despite all the money I spent on Avid, I think I have to go back to Studio One 5. Your DAW shouldn't get in the way of work, even if its "what the industry uses". Ultimately the industry uses what gets things done it turns out. Everyone has a different idea. If your music is ever important enough, you can hire someone to orchestrate it into whatever is going to be needed software-wise. It's been a multi-month expensive lesson after getting inspired by Danny Elfman's Masterclass. I still have work to finish.. but soon!

@ClayPerryMusic How did you learn, or who works with you? I really could use someone to show me how to make all the sounds in my head. I'm always frustrated by process. If someone could just show me process, I could really get going.
