#4 i worry that not being able to track viewcounts could be a problem in bringing companies to the platform (as users i mean). i know each node can implement a custom solution, but if a company releases news, i wonder if they're okay with knowing they're possibly only getting a partial view. do you think this could be an issue or is it not actually a problem? my assumptions have no real basis, and i'm just curious. might as well ask when i might have your attention for the only time lol @AlexValaitis @nader 👇

#5 i don't know your experience with abstract data types, but i am wondering if there are data models besides blockchain that would allow for distributed p2p data storage that can be used as a database. i know blockchain is perfect for finance. i know it gives rock solid trust. i'm just asking if there are other models that could operate similarly as a db. end of the day, nodes can alter data on display, so the trust is not real, right? we trust node or we don't per site/app @AlexValaitis @nader thank you! love ur work, u rock! much respect 😊

so I thought about this a bit more, and I believe I have reached the conclusion that because we operate using DeSo as a core component of the platform, the blockchain likely is necessary so that we can trust these financial aspects of the platform. but for the social media aspect of things, we are limited because of the blockchain. so there is a trade-off between having DeSo as the lifeblood of the system and having social media run alongside it. it is pretty cool though the balance that you’ve found. it is totally fine to say that there are trade-offs
