so, we didn't reach the funding level, but the round closed. i haven't finalized the round, because i need to see where i would possibly put the funds that (1) makes sense and (2) has some chance to be entertaining. it's not enough to (in my opinion, feel free to comment though) try to make a proposal over, but maybe if i start showing some of the things i'm doing on Solana, we can have a 2nd round of funding and people might be more interested in joining. of course people who joined in the 1st round are not going to be overshadowed easily.
plus, Solana is getting h-h-h-h-ot right now coming off of the news of SMS (Solana Mobile Stack - https://solanamobile.com/ - i preordered one) - Solana is up almost 32% on the week.
they've pushed out the fix for the bots, so things have been running smoothly also. (though i believe only a small % of nodes have upgraded to actually incorporate the fix, but still, the difference is very noticeable, and the gas fees are still almost negligible )
