who wants a future where there are no consequences? i'm very unclear on why there is so much deliberation required because people are unsure about how this kind of thing should be handled in this new web3 world. in web2, this would have been resolved already. most likely during the attacks, it would have been stopped. probably due to their AI analyizing the messages, who knows. on web2 i would have reported it pretty quickly since i trust in those features in web2. but in web2, there's nothing anyone can really do after. it's just how it is. this is what we don't like. no one really thinks it would be unreasonable that these accounts can't take their profile somewhere else, because it's clear in this case that they actually fairly objectively reacted in a way that is never appropriate and all signs point to this being something that isn't exactly out of the norm for their character(s). but, for the rest of the community, there's no way to say "hey twitter, we didn't really like that process, can we talk about it?" so here, i mean, i feel it would be difficult to find anyone who isn't one of his alts that will say "oh, no- i see all of that evidence, and i think there's nothing wrong with that at all!" and the thing is here, he can still have his account on his own node if he wants. OR, the way this really should work, he creates a brand new account. he's already anonymous, so there's nothing on that front to hinder him. but he has to earn trust from the beginning. if he chooses to be a decent person this time, that's great - that's the process in action. that's how this is meant to work. we are accountable for our actions, even if he is not banned, people should know who he is now. (he shouldn't be verified by DESO on their nodes, but they seem to think they have no control in this matter) if he comes back on a new name and is still the same way, he'll forever just be stuck at the bottom. cause he can't use the brother pass to get verified, and so his network of alts and scammers-to-bust becomes shattered without a verified user at the top to help vouch for those accounts. and the great thing now is, if the community doesn't like the way it happened, we get to talk about it! we can help refine the process. we are shaping the future as we go. if we do nothing, what good are we? we're just waiitng for the future to come to us? then we're just letting other people decide how things should work, and that'll be on some other platform. we're not frozen in time here. rules and regulations don't just materialize out of thin air. we're not going to catch up in time with everything already having been settled upon. this is what web3 is - we all work together now to figure this stuff out. as long as there's not simply a twitter calling all the shots, we're making progress. right now, it's okay that a decision is made at first by a single party. cause that's where we are in the timeline. but after, we evaluate it and see where there can be improvements, and we steer in the direction we want to go to improve that process. we do this for all types of decisions, and eventually, we hit land. unless i'm like totally mistaken about what we're doing here.
